Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for conceptually designing unique webpages (initial wireframes), writing and executing successful branding/marketing campaigns, and driving traffic in a crowded arena for a start-up in the international education and work experience field.
 
Job Description:
You are tasked to tap your experience and creative brain to shape and execute our web strategy. Strategize, plan, execute, and coordinate the company’s marketing plan and brand identity that drives web traffic and provides captivating, substantive tools for the sales team to accomplish their goals. Responsibilities include day-to-day marketing moves that maximize inbound volume of traffic from search engines and organic, direct prospects. This role reports to the director.
 
Job Responsibilities:
You are a motivated, customer-obsessed, analytical marketer who will drive adoption and engagement for us in our international company’s infancy and beyond. You are passionate about international travel and cultures. You want to enter at ground-level of a business and help it grow from nothing to something. You are currently reading a business book on near-future online marketing tactics.
 
Your initial task is to understand our services, clients, and competitors. Next, simultaneously design concept wireframe webpages (bonus if you are a graphic artist, too!) that can be replicated, and develop a marketing plan. Third, write web content. Fourth, engage marketing initiatives and monitor/tweak campaign(s) as need.
 
Furthermore, you will
 
  • Define the brand promise, and design and execute a substantive brand awareness and marketing campaign (the latter you’ll do again as we augment and grow)
  • Develop and drive product positioning, value proposition, and integrate go-to-market strategy for our services
  • Create content roadmap, and manage outsourced backend IT building
  • Drive SEO traffic but setting attainable KPIs, organizing/editing site content, and perform ongoing competitor analyses
  • Optimize content across many channels that ensure strong web presence and content-generated traffic goals are met
  • Be in-line with the start-up’s short and long-term goals
  • Know the difference between B2C and B2B marketing, and how to attain both clients
 
Requirements:
Personal Skills Needed
  • Passion to get a service heard, seen, loved, and attract dedicated fans
  • Realization this is ground-level start-up mode; long hours in a creative environment where your voice will definitely have weight
  • Experience positively communicating with IT web persons
  • Ability to take a joke, and give one
  • Have hustle; never be complacent
 
Business Skills Needed
  • Demonstrate creativity and judgement to develop solutions
  • Intuition for customer (19-24-year-old university students from around the world, and small business managers)
  • Excellent command of the written and spoken English language
 
              Technical Skills Needed
  • 2+ years with Google Analytics or similar
  • 2+ years using Adobe products or similar
  • Successful track-record and ability to prove such results in building multi-level platforms of business-impacting content; campaigns that drove quality traffic to website(s); and how you listened and reconciled a company owner’s demands with salespersons’ drive to close a sale
  • Hands-on experience owning SEO performance
  • Ability to edit video content a plus
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS a plus
 
              Basic (Minimal) Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Study and/or intern abroad experience is a plus; or strong international travel
