Sr. HR Generalist

XcelHR is looking for a HR Generalist to support our client-facing HR Department. This role is a unique opportunity to become part of a team of strategic Human Resource professionals, dedicated to serving our clients in all aspects of their day-to-day needs. The individual who holds this position will act as a primary contact and field questions on general human resources matters and will have exposure to all areas of Human Resources within the organization. Communication within the department, and externally with our clients will be a key factor for success in this position. Additionally, the ability to handle high volumes of work will be critical for success in this role. 

The primary duties of this position consist of the following: 

· Provide solid HR support to our clients and their employees.
· Handle general human resources queries related to payroll, benefits, state and federal laws, policies and leaves of absences, and other HR matters 
· Assist with research projects as well as assist other HR Generalist team members with employee relation issues and make recommendations
· Liaise with HR  Manager to ensure all client needs and requirements are met 
· Liaise with various other internal departments including payroll, benefits, and workers compensation, retirement, IT, finance, and others
· Handle our client-facing Applicant Tracking System, to include providing demos and training to clients and configuring their set up preferences
· Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as required 

The ideal candidate will have: 

· 2-4 years solid experience in a Generalist role supporting all areas of Human Resources
· Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
· Ability to manage priorities, workflow and meet deadlines
· Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
· A strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking, problem solving, and verbal and written skills
· Strong working knowledge of MS Office - advanced skills strongly preferred
· Strong ability to learn new computer systems and take the lead on various projects
· Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage projects while effectively addressing day to day responsibilities
· Positive attitude and the ability to handle highly confidential information with maturity and diplomacy
