XcelHR offers Human Resources guidance to hundreds of small and mid-size businesses. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic full-time Office Assistant  in our Rockville office. This position is a good fit for someone who has receptionist, administrative, and customer service experience. The primary responsibility within this role is to assist teams with special administrative project and to fill in for the Receptionist during lunch, breaks and vacations.  The Receptionist duties include managing our switchboard, answering and directing calls with polished professionalism. Call volume is high at times. Data entry, emails, faxes and other administrative tasks will be assigned. 
This candidate must:

- represent the company with polished professionalism during all interactions.
- demonstrate a strong grasp of the English language in all written and verbal communications.
- demonstrate the ability to accurately relay messages as necessary.
- be able to work well with a fluctuating workload, staying productive during more quiet times and keeping composure when workload is heavier.
- be able to learn a new computer system IHR Information System with relative ease;
- have strong (intermediate-to-advanced) skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, including basic to intermediate MS Excel. (you will be assessed prior to hire)
-be able to pass a drug and background test
